Editor Shevket Kaibullaev specified the different eras in the life of the publication: from 1984-1987 issues (about 4 per year) treated rights and the Crimean Tatar movement; from 1988 through 1994 the journal included social and literary topics; and since 1994 it has been a popularizing-academic publication with historical-ethnographic information for a broad audience (From Shevket Kaibullaev’s description of K’’asevet, transmitted in personal correspondence with Gul’nara Bekirova.
