Story about Nikonova and Segay

Rea Nikonova and Serge Segay (also written as Ry Nikonova and Sergei Sigei), were two nonconformist artists who produced highly creative and experimental works from the 1960s and well into the post-Soviet era. Their pieces crossed boundaries between media and genres from poetry to visual and performance art. The art of Nikonova and Segay stands out for its intense engagement of the historical avant-garde. The pair sought to recover the techniques and principles developed by Russian artists of the 1910s-30s and renew them for a new phase of experimental artistic practice.
